Prayer for Wisdom Before a Big Decision | James 1:5 Morning Prayer

Some decisions keep us awake: which way to go, what to say, whether to wait. James gives us a simple answer for those nights, and it is an invitation, not a scolding.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5)

In this prayer we sit with James 1:5, remember Solomon asking for an understanding heart in 1 Kings 3, and let Proverbs 3:5-6 lower our shoulders. Then we pray together for clear direction in decisions, relationships and work, humility to listen, and peace while we wait for the answer.
