Psalm 27 Prayer for Courage | The Lord Is My Light and My Salvation

Fear is loud, but David wrote Psalm 27 with trouble close by, and he still began with light, not panic.

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1)

In this prayer we read Psalm 27 slowly and let it answer the fears we carry into the day: the unknown, the what-ifs, the things we cannot control. Then we pray for courage that does not depend on how we feel, a steady mind, and strength to wait on the LORD, with hope in His Word.

Scriptures: Psalm 27:1-5, 13-14, Deuteronomy 31:6, Psalm 56:3, 2 Timothy 1:7, Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
