Prayer for Grief | When Your Heart Is Breaking, God Is Near (Psalm 34:18)

There is no right way to grieve and no deadline. This prayer is for the days when it still hurts.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. (Psalm 34:18)

We stay with Psalm 34:18 and the LORD who is nigh unto the brokenhearted, remember Jesus weeping at Lazarus's tomb in John 11, and pray for comfort, rest and the people who walk beside us, with hope that He is near. You do not have to be strong here.
